CA vs CS which is easy?
CA and CS are professional courses and both have their own specialties in their respective fields. However, when we compare the two in terms of difficulty level, we need to compare the various factors like course content, the time required, cut-offs, etc.
CA qualification is provided by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India which has 3 levels- Foundation, Intermediate, and Final. On the other hand, CS qualification is obtained from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and this also has 3 levels- Foundation, Executive and Professional.
Though there are mixed opinions by people on the level of expertise and knowledge required for these two courses, there is always a factor of demand in the industry based on which required a number of qualified professionals are required. Needless to say, if there is more demand for Chartered accountants at some point, the passing percentage for CA’s will be higher than CS’s and vice versa. Hence, if the passing percentage of CS is higher than in CA, CS would be considered easier.
In terms of syllabus, the CS course includes in-depth content on various laws and is focussed more on theoretical knowledge. While the CA course not only includes laws but also have a detailed syllabus on accountancy, taxes, and audit. Considering the above, a student who is good at memorizing laws will find the CS course easy and the student who is good in calculations, practical cases, Taxation, and auditing will find the CA course easier.
CA coaching wishes all the students the best of luck in selecting their goals and achieving success!!
